Estimating as a group goes wrong in the same two ways every time: the first number spoken anchors everyone else, and the tool for capturing it is a separate tab from the ticket being discussed. Getting a team into a session should not need five accounts and a licence.

How it works

PointDeck opens a room in one click. There is nothing to install and nobody signs up — the host shares a link and everyone joins with just a name. Cards stay face down until the host reveals the round, so the quiet estimate counts as much as the loud one, and only the host can reveal or start the next round.

For teams whose work already lives somewhere else, the room can carry the real ticket. Jira, GitHub Projects and Azure DevOps each connect once, and the facilitator pulls the active issue into the room so the ticket, its acceptance criteria and the estimate are all in front of the same people. When the team agrees a number, it goes back to the numeric field it came from rather than into someone's notes.
